Job summary

Tether seeks a frontend-focused developer to build Keet Desktop, a cross-platform P2P communication app using React and TypeScript. You will implement UI/UX, optimize performance, and contribute to decentralized communication.

You will collaborate with a fully remote, distributed team, participate in code reviews, and write modular, well-tested code. Experience with React/TS and state management is essential, with interest in P2P systems a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience building frontend features with React or Preact in production.
• Strong TypeScript skills and modern JavaScript practices.
• Ability to write modular, well-tested code and participate in reviews.
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.).
• Interest in P2P technologies or distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Keet Desktop across macOS, Windows, and Linux using React and TypeScript.
• Implement UI/UX features and optimize performance and memory usage.
• Collaborate with a remote, distributed team and communicate updates clearly.
• Write modular, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Work with P2P technologies and the Pear runtime to support decentralized communication.
