Job summary

Essen Health Care is seeking an experienced Supervising Dermatology Physician (MD/DO) to provide remote clinical oversight for Dermatology Physician Assistants within our growing department. The role ensures high-quality patient care, supports decision-making, and maintains New York supervision compliance.

The ideal candidate is a board-certified dermatologist with leadership skills and a passion for mentorship.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with dermatology board certification/eligibility and NY license
• Remote supervision experience with PAs preferred
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills
• Experience working in fast-paced outpatient dermatology settings

Responsibilities

• Provide remote supervision for Dermatology PAs in accordance with NY regulations
• Review care plans, treatment protocols, and documentation with PAs
• Be available for clinical consultation during business hours
• Conduct chart reviews and support quality assurance initiatives
• Promote patient safety and evidence-based dermatologic care
• Participate in departmental meetings and training
• Mentor and onboard Dermatology PAs
• Collaborate with leadership to optimize workflows and outcomes
• Ensure supervisory documentation and regulatory compliance
• Foster a positive, team-based environment aligned with Essen Health Care values
