RightDirection Technology Solutions in Washington, DC is seeking a Cleared Senior to Mid-level Information Assurance Analyst to support the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations at the U.S. Department of State.

The role focuses on governance, risk management, compliance, and system authorization across a globally distributed IT portfolio. This is a highly experienced position emphasizing RMF implementation, ATO package development, policy compliance, and audit readiness, with ISSO collaboration

Qualifications

• Active Security Clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of information assurance experience in federal environments.
• Extensive knowledge of NIST RMF, FISMA, and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
• Experience leading ATO efforts and supporting complex IT systems through the full security lifecycle.
• Strong writing skills for SSPs, SARs, and related artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Authorization and Compliance Leadership: Lead the development and maintenance of ATO packages (SSPs, SARs, RARs, POA&M).
• RMF Lifecycle Oversight: Oversee all phases of RMF lifecycle from system categorization through continuous monitoring.
• Policy and Governance Support: Interpret and apply Departmental cybersecurity policies (12 FAM, 5 FAH-6, CSB).
• Security Impact Analysis and Continuous Monitoring: Lead Security Impact Analyses for system changes; review vulnerability scans.
• Audit Readiness and Documentation Quality: Coordinate audit activities and prepare evidence packages; ensure documentation is audit-ready.
• Mentorship and Cross-Functional Coordination: Advise mid-level analysts and ISSO support staff; liaise with cloud architects and system owners.
