Job summary

PCI Professional Services is seeking a Databricks Platform Engineer for an upcoming contract. This remote role reports to the Program Manager and focuses on automating platform operations, reliability, and enabling data teams to leverage Databricks effectively.

You will build and optimize enterprise data lakehouse infra, manage Databricks across dev/staging/prod, design cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP), implement CI/CD, and enforce security and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 5+ years in platform engineering, cloud infra, or IT ops.
• Hands-on Databricks administration and job orchestration.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
• Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Databricks platform infrastructure across dev, test, and prod.
• Configure workspace provisioning, access controls, and policies.
• Automate provisioning, upgrades, and scaling with IaC tools.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for Databricks workflows and notebooks.
• Monitor performance, cost, security, and data governance on the platform.
