Job summary

The American Heart Association seeks a Data Warehouse Developer to join our remote-friendly team in Dallas, TX. This full-time, grant-funded role focuses on designing data architectures, ETL for clinical data, and supporting researchers with analytics in the Precision Medicine Platform.

Candidates will work with a dynamic team of scientists, data engineers and IT professionals to improve data flows, governance and self-service analytics while maintaining high data quality and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of ETL design and development with clinical EHR data.
• Experience with data modeling and integration with EHR systems.
• Familiarity with data virtualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Designs integration architectures and data mappings from EHR data.
• Defines standards for performance, compliance and delivery to researchers.
• Collaborates with researchers and IT to support data pipeline and new tools.
• Supports external grants with data science expertise.
• Coordinates cross-department SOP development and maintenance.
• Ensures SOA accuracy through analysis, coding and documentation.
• Keeps current on data warehouse standards and new sources for easy integration.
• Promotes self-service analytics and data governance across teams.
• Champions data quality and timely data availability across the department.
• Assesses database performance and monitors code.
