Job summary

A leading staffing company is seeking a Data Scientist to enhance an internal pricing and inventory decision-support tool. The role, which offers a contract option with the possibility of extensions and permanent conversion, involves building predictive models and analyzing complex datasets. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in predictive modeling, strong skills in Python or R, and the ability to translate technical outputs for non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying predictive models in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake OR Databricks).

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy predictive models for pricing and scenario outputs.
• Analyze sales, inventory, IoT signals, and vendor data.
• Support scenario analysis and 'what-if' comparisons.
• Translate complex outputs into business recommendations.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers for production readiness.
• Produce clean, documented code for maintainability.

Skills

Experience with predictive models
