Qualifications

• A bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline is preferred.
• A masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, or a related field is an advantage.
• Equivalent practical experience, relevant projects, and demonstrated technical skills may be considered where appropriate.
• Relevant certifications or coursework in statistical analysis, machine learning, forecasting, or experimentation are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain forecasting models to predict business performance, customer demand, sales trends, operational requirements, and other relevant business metrics.
• Apply statistical forecasting methods, time-series analysis, regression techniques, and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns and estimate future outcomes.
• Analyze historical data, seasonal variations, market trends, and external factors that may influence forecasting accuracy.
• Evaluate different forecasting approaches and select suitable models based on business objectives, data availability, and performance requirements.
• Monitor model accuracy over time and update forecasting methodologies when new data, changing business conditions, or performance issues arise.
• Build forecasting solutions that support planning, budgeting, inventory management, resource allocation, customer behavior analysis, and strategic decision-making, where applicable.
