Job summary

The Presidents' Alliance is seeking a Data and Research Consultant to manage data, support research reports, and help launch a Research Library on the Higher Ed Immigration Portal. The role emphasizes both quantitative analysis and clear, nontechnical writing for diverse audiences.

This part-time, hourly position requires up to 14 hours per week, remote collaboration, and the ability to independently manage recurring data updates and deliverables for national and state-level datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in quantitative or applied research.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing quantitative datasets and identifying findings.
• Strong writing skills to translate data into reports for nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
• Knowledge of higher education, immigration, or public policy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Update recurring national and state-level data updates for the Higher Ed Immigration Portal.
• Manage timelines with partners for three recurring reports and provide data feedback.
• Analyze datasets and identify key findings, trends, and implications.
• Conduct quantitative analysis as needed to answer research questions.
• Maintain methodologies, sources, definitions, and limitations.
• Support build-out of a new Research Library on the Portal.
• Ensure quality assurance before publication across materials.
