Job summary

Agility Robotics is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build and scale the data platform powering fleet-scale humanoid robotics. You will design ingestion pipelines, data formats, and observability for massive robot-generated datasets, with cloud services like AWS.

This fully remote role offers flexibility to work hybrid near our Salem, OR; Pittsburgh, PA; or Fremont, CA offices. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cloud data platforms, experience with Spark/Kafka, and strong distributed systems

Qualifications

Experience designing and scaling cloud-based data platforms.
Proficiency in Java/Scala or Python with distributed systems knowledge.
Hands-on experience with big data frameworks and data ingestion pipelines.
Familiarity with observability tools and metrics collection.

Responsibilities

Design scalable data ingestion pipelines for telemetry and sensor data.
Develop and maintain data ingestion agents on robot software for low-connectivity
Create data formats and protocols for efficient storage and querying.
Build observability systems for real-time fleet monitoring and analytics.
Implement big data processing using Spark, Kafka, or equivalent.
Develop cloud-based BI and analytics tooling using AWS services.
