Job summary

Wipfli LLP is seeking a Data Management & Governance Analyst III to join our team in the United States. This role supports data governance, master data management, and quality initiatives across data domains with collaboration among data owners, stewards, and IT teams.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in data governance or data quality, strong SQL and data visualization skills, and experience with governance platforms such as Profisee or Purview.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in data stewardship, governance, quality, or analysis, preferably in professional services or finance.
• Experience applying governance standards and policies in business settings.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization/reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Profile data and analyze domains to identify quality issues, trends, and root causes.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, stakeholders, and tech teams to document issues and track remediation.
• Apply governance policies, standards, and stewardship processes within responsibility areas.
• Maintain glossaries, data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, and governance artifacts.
• Monitor data quality controls and prepare metrics, scorecards, and reports for governance visibility.
• Support Master Data Management activities including data matching and stewardship workflows.
• Assist governance for system implementations, integrations, or acquisitions through analysis and documentation.
• Clarify business definitions and data requirements with stakeholders and elevate cross-functional issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance workflows, documentation, reporting, and adoption.
• Support development and delivery of governance communications, training, and sessions.
• Share knowledge and mentor governance participants on established processes and tools.
