Job summary

Carex Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions powering analytics and BI. This remote role requires periodic onsite presence in Wisconsin and candidates must reside in Wisconsin and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise data warehouse and analytics solutions.
• Deep expertise with Fivetran and dbt for ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong Snowflake data warehouse experience.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with version control and multi-tier repository management.
• Experience building dimensional (star schema) data models.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• IaC tools experience preferred.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable data pipelines and integration frameworks for analytics and BI.
• Develop and optimize enterprise data warehouse solutions and data marts.
• Build and maintain dimensional data models (star schema).
• Optimize pipelines and models for performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Implement data validation and quality checks.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain data pipelines for reliability.
• Create technical documentation for pipelines and models.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and improve data architecture.
