Job summary

Valenz Health is seeking a Data Engineer I to build and maintain scalable data pipelines in a cloud-based lakehouse environment. You’ll transform and validate healthcare data from multiple sources to enable analytics, reporting, and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative field.
  • 1+ years of data engineering, software development, data analytics, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data manipulation.
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
  • Understanding of relational DBs, data modeling, and warehousing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance data pipelines from multiple sources.
  • Support migration to a cloud lakehouse architecture (Azure Databricks, Delta Lake).
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Python, PySpark, Spark SQL.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring for pipelines.
  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to meet data needs.
