Qualifications
- 4-10 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- Experience managing and troubleshooting SQL Agent jobs.
- Advanced SQL development expertise.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle Database.
- Experience performing SQL tuning and query optimization.
- Strong expertise in data lineage analysis and dependency tracing.
- Experience reverse engineering complex ETL and reporting processes.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise data migration programs.
- Strong understanding of data validation and reconciliation methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and data integration processes.
- Develop and support SSIS packages and SQL Agent jobs.
- Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries and database workloads.
- Perform data lineage analysis and dependency mapping across enterprise systems.
- Reverse engineer legacy ETL processes, reports, and integration workflows.
- Support enterprise data migration and modernization initiatives.
- Trace dependencies within tables, views, stored procedures, and job scheduling systems.
- Conduct data validation, reconciliation testing, and quality assurance activities.
- Support migration from legacy platforms to modern cloud and analytics environments.
- Identify migration risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
- Support cutover activities, implementation planning, and post-migration validation.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation and migration artifacts.
