Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Data Engineer to build, maintain, and scale data infrastructure. You will design scalable data pipelines, manage databases, and automate workflows to enable business analytics and reporting. Collaboration with data scientists and analysts is essential for data-driven decision-making.

The role offers flexible US remote work with hybrid options in Austin and Tampa and requires 3+ years in data engineering with proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
• 3+ years in software development with a focus on data engineering/science.
• Experience building data pipelines and managing large-scale data systems using SQL and Python.
• Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure; familiarity with Airflow, Kafka or dbt for orchestration.
• Experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines moving data from multiple sources to central data warehouses.
• Manage and optimize relational databases for availability, reliability, and consistency.
• Automate and optimize data workflows to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Build dashboards/reports in Tableau and Databricks to expose key data points and trends.
