Job summary

Akaasa Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Engineer ETL to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that support enterprise analytics and BI initiatives. You will leverage Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks to develop robust ETL/ELT processes, ensure data quality, and drive data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data engineering and strong SQL, Python/Scala/Java programming, and experience with Spark and cloud data services (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Backend Engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and data modeling expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks (Required).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with Spark or other distributed data processing frameworks.
• Experience building data solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of data warehouses, data lakes, and modern analytics ecosystems.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and BI initiatives.
• Work with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks for ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration.
