Job summary

International Consulting Associates, Inc. seeks a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines in a primarily AWS-based environment. You will work with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to transform structured and unstructured data into reliable datasets for analytics and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering, including ETL or ELT development, data modeling, and data architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python for data ingestion, transformation, integration, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Dagster, Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar orchestration tools.
• Experience designing relational and analytical data models with normalization and dimensional concepts.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud data infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Experience implementing data quality checks, logging, and monitoring for production pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, or AWS GovCloud and other regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of Git and collaborative software development practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and communicate tradeoffs across teams.
