Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Digital Technology, Data, Analytics & AI (DAAI) team. You will design and build data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines, collaborating with data scientists and analysts to ensure reliable data solutions for aerospace and defense applications.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience or 5+ with an advanced degree, strong SQL and data modeling skills, and experience with Matillion, Databricks, and SAP Hana. U.S.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with 8+ years experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• 5+ years experience as a data engineer performing AI-driven data analysis, data modeling, data transformations.
• Strong experience developing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes with Matillion.
• Strong data modeling and architecture skills.
• Experience with SAP Hana, BW, Multipliers, Infocubes, and OData.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data workflows and pipelines using Matillion, HVR and Databricks.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, architects and stakeholders to translate data requirements into solutions.
• Perform data modeling to design and structure databases that support business needs.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, transformation and troubleshooting.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Document data processes, workflows, and governance mandates.
