Job summary

Newcomb & Boyd is seeking an Electrical Data Center Specialist to support commissioning activities for data center projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role requires the ability to travel 100% or be local to the project site, with a flexible, hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities include verifying commissioning steps (L1–L3), preparing FAT/FWT and field reports, and maintaining documentation in the quality control system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school is acceptable.
• Electrical license preferred.
• Prior experience in electrical construction or commissioning is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning inspections and verify L1–L3 activities per the project plan, specifications, and codes.
• Prepare and deliver L1 FAT/FWT reports and L2/L3 documentation.
• Utilize QC software and Project Share Site to post commissioning checklists and readiness evaluations.
• Assist in tracking and resolving open issues with the Project Manager.
