Job summary

Clarkston Consulting is seeking a Data Architect to deliver creative business solutions for life sciences, consumer products, and retail clients. You will design scalable data platforms, mentor junior architects, and translate business goals into architectural strategies.

You will work with Azure/AWS data tools, REST APIs, and data governance, often traveling 30-50% for client engagements. A 4-year degree is required and relocation is not needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with data management solutions using data lake platform tools and technologies.
• Experience with data architecture supporting data warehousing, BI, MDM, and reference data management.
• Familiarity with Data as a Service (DaaS) concepts from enterprise repositories using REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Azure or AWS-based data and data management tools (Azure SQL, Data Catalog, Service Fabric)
• Familiarity with TOGAF or other architecture frameworks.
• Exposure to ITIL/SDLC processes and data catalog development.

Responsibilities

• Work with staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors at all levels.
• Design and develop scalable data platforms and architectures.
• Provide forward-thinking technical expertise in current technologies and trends.
• Lead client initiatives and mentor junior Data Architects and Data Engineers.
• Translate business goals into architectural strategies and solutions.
