City Cast DC is hiring a sharp, thoughtful writer to report for our site and work on our newsletters, especially our daily morning newsletter. This role reports to the Executive Editor and works closely with the Managing Editor to surface the stories that matter for Washingtonians.

The ideal candidate has strong writing and editing skills, a curious DC knowledge, and a track record of meeting daily deadlines in a startup environment. Some Sunday hours are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of journalism, newsletters, or related editorial work.
