Job summary

Motorola Solutions is offering a Software Engineer Cybersecurity Services summer internship in 2027 for aspiring software engineers. You will work on scalable cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity applications, contributing to an event-driven microservices architecture on AWS and data analytics to detect anomalies.

Interns rotate across software groups, collaborate with mentors, and deliver a project demo at the end of the program.

Qualifications

Coursework or project experience in Python and JavaScript.
Familiarity with Linux environments and basic software development.
Basic knowledge of container services such as Docker/Kubernetes.
Demonstrable troubleshooting and problem solving skills in a diverse technical environment.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

Maintain existing backend microservices processes deployed primarily through AWS Lambda and Fargate using Python.
Collaborate with architecture team to design and build new microservices processes in support of strategic initiatives.
Maintain existing or build new web-based customer facing UI features using React, JavaScript and Python.
Bring fresh engineering perspectives to a fast paced team and provide input on improvements through active collaboration.
