Job summary

Business Wire is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen the security of applications, cloud and IT systems. You will work with development teams to embed security into the SDLC, educate staff on threats, and help implement security tools and monitoring.

You will perform assessments, triage vulnerabilities, and assist in incident response while promoting security best practices across the organization. A Bachelor’s degree and hands-on AWS security experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in application security with AWS knowledge.
• Proficiency in translating security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in security incident response and threat modeling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in application and cloud security assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with security and development teams to integrate security testing into the SDLC.
• Support the development of cloud security architecture aligned with industry standards.
• Assist in vulnerability triage and engineering prioritization of findings.
• Conduct security assessments and contribute to threat modeling exercises.
• Assist in vulnerability management including penetration testing and remediation.
• Help maintain security documentation and reports to ensure requirements are followed.
• Support incident response activities and investigate security incidents.
• Promote security awareness across cross-functional teams.
