Job summary

UpGuard, a leading cybersecurity company, is seeking a skilled content writer to drive organic growth. Based in a Growth Marketing context, you will craft high-quality, SEO-optimised content for a B2B audience, translate complex risk concepts into clear, authoritative material, and keep pages fresh and competitive.

You will own drafts to live content in our CMS, collaborate with web and creative teams, and help customers find precise answers with trustworthy content.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional content writing experience, including SEO-focused content.
• Portfolio of content answering audience questions (long-form articles, comparison pages, etc.).
• Solid understanding of SEO and AI-assisted search evolution (intent, keywords, metadata).
• Hands-on experience uploading and formatting content via a CMS.
• Ability to translate complex cybersecurity/risk concepts into clear, authoritative content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong editorial quality.
• Proven ability to manage multiple pieces of content in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration with web, growth and creative teams.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written); base of operations in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, useful content addressing real questions from prospects and customers.
• Turn complex cybersecurity topics into accurate, insightful content.
• Refresh and improve existing articles to stay current and helpful.
• Create and maintain comparison pages that are fair, accurate, and persuasive.
• Publish and format content in the CMS with proper headings, metadata and links.
• Monitor content performance with Growth Marketing insights to improve future pieces.
• Maintain UpGuard's voice and tone across all content.
