Job summary

Zermount Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to drive the Zero Trust strategy across a hybrid on‑prem and cloud environment for a Government Agency.

The role blends hands‑on engineering with architectural leadership to accelerate authorization to operate, improve security tooling, and collaborate with government leadership. The ideal candidate has deep cybersecurity architecture experience and is comfortable presenting to executive officials.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on IT and cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with NIST RMF, FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST SP 800-53 control implementation.
• Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk preferred).
• Experience with Cloud security (AWS required, Azure or GCP optional).
• Ability to translate mission goals into actionable architecture and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Enterprise Security Architecture aligned with EO 14028 and Zero Trust.
• Design and lead Zero Trust Architecture across hybrid on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Research and evaluate emerging security capabilities including AI/ML for agency needs.
• Lead architecture and implementation of automated cATO capabilities.
• Plan PoC deployments within the client enterprise and/or external vendor environments.
• Collaborate with internal & external teams to ensure client and NIST compliance.
• Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
