Focus Interpreting is seeking a dedicated Creole Interpreter to join our remote interpretation team. The interpreter will provide accurate Creole-English interpretation through VRI and telephone services across diverse settings.

The role requires fluency in Creole and English, prior remote interpretation experience, and reliable internet. You will work independently from home, ensuring professional, confidential, and culturally sensitive communication.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Creole and English with strong verbal skills.
• Experience in remote/VRI or telephone interpretation preferred.
• Internet access and equipment for remote work.
• Based in the United States; professional interpretation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide Creole-English interpretation remotely via VRI and telephone.
• Interpret in real time across medical, legal, educational, government, and social services.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethics and privacy guidelines.
• Stay current with Creole terminology and interpretation practices.
• Accept and complete remote assignments as scheduled.
