Centene Corp. is seeking a Credentialing Specialist I for a fully remote role available to candidates nationwide.

You will perform credentialing and re-credentialing in accordance with plan specifications and NCQA standards, communicating professionally with physicians, office managers, providers, and other third parties. This role emphasizes data accuracy, reporting, and PSV education verification, with typically 1+ year experience expected in data entry or healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or high school diploma/equivalent with 1+ years of related experience.
• Experience in data entry, customer service, medical office, or credentialing.
• Experience preferably in managed care or insurance environment.
• PSV for education verification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform credentialing and re-credentialing according to plan specifications and NCQA standards.
• Communicate professionally with physicians, office managers, providers and others to secure information.
• Gather information for Credentialing Committee meetings and prepare materials.
• Process, track and file credentialing applications within established standards.
• Generate and utilize reporting to support business functions and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and timelines.
