Job summary

BerryDunn is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to join our Healthcare Compliance and Credentialing Practice Area. The role involves full credentialing/re-credentialing activities, CAQH maintenance, and loading provider data, with remote work flexibility.

The position requires 2–3 years in healthcare credentialing, PSV, and strong communication and organizational skills. Travel is minimal, and benefits are provided as part of BerryDunn’s program.

Qualifications

• High school education is required; bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 2-3 years of healthcare experience in credentialing or medical billing.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or CPMSM is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organization and time management to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe; Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete credentialing/re-credentialing applications for providers and groups with third-party payers.
• Perform Primary Source Verification (PSV) and PSV file audits as needed.
• Manage CAQH profiles and load provider data into the credentialing database.
• Coordinate with client liaisons and billing to update enrollment status.
• Communicate with payers to follow up on applications per policy.
• Respond to inquiries from physicians, staff, hospitals, and managed care companies.
• Obtain requisite credentialing information from providers to complete submissions.
• Update clients regularly on process and any delays.
• Track hours accurately for billing of services rendered.
