Qualifications

• Current Texas CSR certification in good standing
• Minimum writing speed of 225 words per minute with high accuracy
• Experience reporting civil litigation proceedings
• Proficiency with remote deposition platforms (including Zoom)
• Stenography or voice writing equipment and CAT software
• Excellent grammar, punctuation and legal terminology

Responsibilities

• Report depositions, hearings, and examinations under oath, both in person and remotely
• Administer oaths to witnesses and mark exhibits
• Produce complete, accurate, and certified transcripts
• Provide rough drafts and expedited transcripts on request
• Manage read-and-sign procedures and errata sheets under Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client and case information
• Communicate promptly with attorneys and staff regarding scheduling and deliverables
