Job summary

GAF is seeking a Corporate Project Engineer IV to act as a recognized SME for capital project execution and engineering standards. You will lead large-scale capital initiatives, drive risk management, and govern financial aspects of projects.

The role requires strong leadership across functions, development of comprehensive business cases, and ensuring projects have defined scope, budget, and schedule while aligning with corporate standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expertise: primary technical authority for plant capital portfolio.
  • Design Oversight: approve major design deviations and provide high-level solutions.
  • High-Level Decision Making: lead critical decision-making with data analysis.
  • Project Execution Process: ensure scope, budget, and standards are defined before progressing.
  • Strategic Planning: develop and present business cases for large-scale capital projects.
  • Portfolio Management: ensure defined scope, schedule and budget for projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: drive high-level improvements to avoid delays or overruns.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: lead teams through the project lifecycle.
