Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a senior corporate development professional to lead mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments.

You will source opportunities, perform financial analysis, coordinate due diligence, and drive end-to-end execution in collaboration with senior leaders. You will also synthesize market data to shape product direction, develop competitive intelligence, and build relationships with startups, investors, and executives to surface new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in investment banking, top tier management consulting, corporate development, strategic finance, private equity, or venture capital.
• Proven track record of leading M&A or strategic investment transactions end-to-end, including financial modeling, due diligence, and deal structuring.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex market data into clear strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• BA/BS degree with deep intellectual curiosity for crypto, blockchain technology, and digital assets.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead M&A and strategic investment transactions end-to-end, including financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and integration planning in partnership with senior team members.
• Conduct market research and synthesize findings into strategic recommendations that shape company and product direction.
• Develop competitive intelligence on key players, analyzing relative strengths and weaknesses and translating insights into actionable implications for Coinbase.
• Partner with senior team members to cultivate cross-functional relationships with executives and drive high-priority strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with startups, investors, and industry participants to surface new opportunities and stay ahead of market developments.
• Strengthen Corporate Development team operations by enhancing existing processes and contributing to recruiting and developing new team members.
