Job summary

Capital Bank N.A. is hiring a Product Owner for Core Banking & Ancillary Systems to own the core banking platform, online banking, treasury, and payment platforms. You will align product vision with business goals and manage a cross-functional backlog with vendors and IT teams.

The role requires 5+ years in banking ops/tech/product mgmt, familiarity with major core banking systems, and strong analytical, Excel, and presentation skills. This is a 100% remote role with nationwide locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or Information Systems is required.
Minimum of 5 years in banking operations, technology, or product management.
Familiarity with core banking systems (FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, Temenos, or Finastra) and ancillary products (treasury, deposit & loan origination, and digital banking).
Advanced Excel skills and experience with dashboard reporting.
Experience creating and leading presentations to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME and business owner for the Bank’s core banking system and ancillary applications.
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
Continuously evaluate industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer needs for product improvements.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog and acceptance criteria.
Write user stories and acceptance criteria to facilitate development, testing, and vendor delivery.
Collaborate with IT, vendors, and business users for timely, high-quality feature releases.
Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm changes meet requirements.
Oversee system configuration and ensure documentation is current and accurate.
Act as liaison between line-of-business leaders, operations, compliance, and technology groups.
Facilitate demonstrations, roadmaps, and provide updates to stakeholders.
Train and support end users on new features and capabilities.
Ensure changes comply with regulatory and audit requirements.
Monitor system performance and manage vendor SLAs.
Work with risk and compliance to ensure secure system usage.
