Trinity Health seeks a Systems Optimization Consultant to advance HR technology capabilities. You will troubleshoot, configure, test, and enable end users while partnering with HR Shared Services, TIS, and implementation partners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
You will support Workday modules (Help/Journeys), develop workflows, and maintain testing for new releases, driving improvements and change management across the organization.

Provides consultative support to Trinity Health functional area Leadership in the implementation of strategy, operational services & other initiatives. Proactively consults & engages operationally on development & implementation of programs & strategies. Provides business context to ensure consistency with decision support, communication, business administration & the development & use of business tools.
Provides leadership, direction & oversight of workstreams. Responsible for the development, implementation & management of processes, policies & procedures . Ensures processes, policies & procedures are communicated, implemented & aligned. Serves as a technical resource of business operational services, issue resolution & implementation of recommended actions. Facilitates & develops processes & tools. Provides escalated support, guidance & training to department members (remotely & on-site) to use new technologies & applications, as well as to improve knowledge of existing ones. Identify the organizational improvements needed, develop systems to implement those changes & train the appropriate staff .
Manages & implements small to medium-scale projects, programs & initiatives. Develops & manages aligned production, communications, service delivery plans & workflows to ensure plans are successfully implemented & services are delivered on time, within budget & to specifications. Conducts informational training sessions with groups of various sizes & backgrounds.
Research & compile information to support ad-hoc operational projects & initiatives. Synthesizes & analyzes data & provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends & recommending practical options or solutions while considering the impact on business strategy & supporting leadership decision-making. Leverages program & operational data & measurements to define & demonstrate progress, ROI & impacts Develops & monitors data analysis & reporting systems & communication tools.

The Systems Optimization Consultant plays a key role in advancing the technological capabilities of the HR Shared Services Department. This hands-on role is responsible for supporting and optimizing HR technologies through troubleshooting, configuration, testing, and end-user enablement. The Consultant serves as a critical liaison between HR Shared Services, Technology & Information Services (TIS), and external implementation partners helping to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and solutions.
Deliver hands-on configuration, administration, and ongoing support for Workday modules including Workday Help and Workday Journeys, ensuring optimal functionality and alignment with organizational needs. This includes designing and updating workflows, managing content, and tailoring user experiences to support employee engagement and self-service.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system access and technical issues by partnering closely with Technology and Information Services (TIS) and external Workday support teams or vendors. This involves analyzing root causes, documenting resolutions, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders to minimize disruption.
Develop, maintain , and execute comprehensive testing scenarios to validate system functionality during new implementations, feature releases, and routine updates. This includes creating test scripts, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), tracking defects, and ensuring that all changes meet business requirements and compliance standards.
Develop clear visualizations and demonstrations to illustrate technical outcomes and support informed decision-making. Assist in change management efforts related to system rollouts and upgrades by translating complex technology into user-friendly content.
Provides specialized guidance as required for integration, architecture, system selection , strategy, electronic health and/or financial records, systems implementations and process transformation.
Support or represent the department on technology-related projects, serving as a subject matter expert and operational voice. Maintain a centralized log of outstanding technical issues and work collaboratively with TIS, implementation partners, and vendors to track and resolve them. Support project planning, status tracking, and timely follow-ups under the direction of the department manager.
Provides critical analysis of data to support assigned program , project and/or engagement and articulates same to colleagues, customers, business owners and all levels of management as required .
Researches best business practices within the organization to identify operational improvement opportunities for specific business units. Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output
Contribute to the development and refinement of the HR Shared Services technology roadmap. Monitor trends, user needs, and system performance to recommend enhancements and future investments.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., process owners, HR leadership, TIS) and external implementation partners to ensure alignment and delivery of technology solutions. Participate in design discussions, planning sessions, and testing cycles with implementation partners and advocate for operational needs and usability. Serve as a key communication bridge to ensure consistent understanding of goals, timelines, and technical considerations across all parties.
