Alignerr is seeking a Natural Resource Conservation Scientist to contribute to AI training and evaluation for conservation, land management, and environmental decision-making. This remote, hourly contract role enables you to influence how AI reasons about the natural world.

You will review datasets, assess AI outputs for ecosystems, water systems, biodiversity, and provide structured feedback, working independently on a flexible 10–40 hours/week schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in natural resource conservation, land management, or environmental science.
• Strong knowledge of ecosystems and conservation principles.
• Ability to critically evaluate scientific reasoning in AI contexts.
• Experience reviewing structured written content and providing actionable feedback.
• Comfort with asynchronous remote work.

Responsibilities

• Review conservation science questions and case studies used in AI training datasets.
• Evaluate the scientific accuracy of AI-generated content on ecosystems, land use, soil health, water systems, and biodiversity.
• Assess whether AI recommendations reflect real-world conservation practices and sound scientific reasoning.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve the quality and reliability of AI outputs.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
