Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in the USA (virtual role) seeks a highly specialized Logistics Compliance & Dangerous Goods Manager to oversee safe handling, storage, and global distribution of lithium batteries. Travel 25–30% may be required.

You will ensure compliance with IATA DGR, IMDG, and DOT regulations across air, sea, and road transport. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in DG-focused logistics, with certifications (IATA DGR, IMDG, 49 CFR).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in DG-focused supply chain management.
• Knowledge of lithium battery classifications and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with lithium battery shipping regulations (UN 3480/3481, UN 3090/3091).
• Prepare and validate dangerous goods documentation (Shipper’s Declarations, IMO DG declarations, Bills of Lading).
• Monitor global regulations (IATA, IMDG, DOT) and update internal procedures.
• Ensure 49 CFR hazmat compliance for domestic transport.
• Maintain DG storage and handling procedures in warehouse.
• Deliver DG awareness training to staff and audit packaging and labeling.
