Environmental Protection Network (EPN) seeks a Region 1 Community Outreach Associate to lead technical assistance support across the TA team for EPA Region 1. The role focuses on connecting frontline communities with resources, volunteers, and partners while expanding environmental justice initiatives.

You will develop and deliver webinars, templates, and capacity-building tools, recruit volunteers, and manage outreach across Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Proven ability to work productively in remote settings.
• Self-starter who can initiate tasks with minimal guidance.
• Interest in environmental justice, US policy or EPA work.
• Experience with social justice and equity issues is preferred.
• Strong writing skills and clear communication.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable asking questions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and switch tasks efficiently.
• Experience collaborating with multiple partners or teams.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee TA work in Region 1 and coordinate day-to-day tasks.
• Connect frontline communities with volunteers for projects and funding.
• Link communities to grants, legal, and scientific resources.
• Engage in proactive outreach to partners and stakeholders.
• Coordinate partners in Region 1 and track follow-ups.
• Identify grant opportunities and contribute to regional bulletins.
• Recruit and activate volunteers across Region 1.
• Maintain databases and spreadsheets with accurate records.
• Schedule meetings with communities and experts.
• Foster collaborative partnerships for community voices in infrastructure investments.
• Develop webinars, templates, and capacity-building tools.
• Travel locally to events and conferences as needed.
• Share findings publicly and within the team, and meet core goals.
