Job summary

Stearns Bank NA. is seeking a Commercial Lender to develop and manage lending relationships within a national scope. This full-time role offers a remote, US-based work arrangement with a compensation range of $140,000 to $175,000 annually and a connected mobile work environment.

You will handle loan requests, underwriting with meticulous credit evaluation, and collaborate across the bank's national lending platform to grow balances and profitability while reducing past dues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Proven track record in commercial lending, including commercial real estate loan requests.
• Relationship management skills for commercial, small business, and personal clients.
• Strong analytical and underwriting expertise with credit quality focus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a personal business development plan to generate new loan growth and fee generation.
• Collect information from loan applicants to support underwriting and respond to credit questions.
• Provide status updates on loans in process and those approved but not closed (pipeline).
• Make timely decisions on loan applications within authority.
• Ensure accuracy of loan grading, documentation, and servicing workflows.
