Job summary

Villanova University is seeking a College Bridge Coordinator to support the Petey Greene Program College Bridge at SCI Phoenix. The role recruits and manages volunteers, screens applicants, and coordinates tutoring schedules with partner organizations.

The position is remote with occasional trips to Collegeville, PA, for required site interactions. It is a two-year, grant-funded appointment, with a commitment to equal opportunity and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience working with justice-involved populations preferred.
• Strong communications and organizational skills.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with office productivity tools (Excel, Word, Adobe).

Responsibilities

• Support PGP staff in recruiting new volunteers and handling applications.
• Vet applications and conduct volunteer interviews with staff collaboration.
• Determine volunteers’ tutoring schedule with partner organizations.
• Help volunteers gain clearance to enter SCI Phoenix.
• Ensure onboarding requirements are completed and reminders are sent.
• Coordinate weekly volunteer transportation.
• Hold weekly trainings and facilitate communication between tutors and instructors.
• Monitor attendance forms and course logs, following up as needed.
• Communicate with volunteers and staff about incidents or missing sessions.
• Oversee intake forms and evaluations for volunteers and students.
• Manage volunteer data including schedules and feedback in spreadsheets.
• Respond promptly to emails from volunteers, faculty, and staff.
• Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
