Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Coding Supervisor for the Physician Shared Services organization. You will lead the Coding Department, delegate tasks, coordinate workflows, and support quality and compliance initiatives. This US-based role reports to the HIM Coding Ops Manager.

The position emphasizes coaching, performance evaluations, and collaborating with global counterparts to drive operational excellence and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Coding functions including assigning daily work and ensuring workflow.
• Meet routine deadlines and complete special projects with accuracy.
• Coach and mentor staff to improve processes and reduce non-compliance.
• Complete performance evaluations, including 90-day competencies and annual reviews.
• Maintain professionalism and courteous conduct with colleagues and clients.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and drive quality.
• Coordinate with on-/offshore counterparts; liaise between hourly staff and management.
• Participate in weekly operations meetings to drive performance and resolve client issues with urgency.
