Job summary

OPB is seeking an experienced full-time Reporter-Producer to cover the coastal Oregon beat, producing breaking and enterprise stories for radio and digital. The role requires reporting, writing, interviewing, and collaborating with editors, with field work across coastal communities and occasional travel to Washington and Oregon.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in journalism and 3 years of professional experience, strong sourcing, and the ability to work remotely while meeting daily

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years equivalent full-time professional journalism experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining a beat.
• Ability to develop and maintain sources.

Responsibilities

• Report, write and produce breaking and enterprise news on multiple platforms including radio and digital.
• Schedule and conduct interviews and plan future coverage for the beat.
• Gather sound, video, photos and edit material for radio and digital.
• Meet daily deadlines and collaborate with editors and reporters across the Northwest.
