Job summary

RemoteJobsOne is seeking a CNC Machinist for a fully remote contractor role. The candidate will operate and set up CNC machines, interpret engineering drawings, and help train AI systems with high-quality input.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience, including setup and production.
Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
Strong English communication for documentation and feedback.
Ability to troubleshoot machining processes and optimize setups.
Experience with multiple CNC platforms and tooling setups.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines across platforms (desktop and industrial).
Load and verify CNC programs, install tooling, set work offsets.
Run first-piece checks and adjust setups for dimensional accuracy.
Perform routine machine maintenance and diagnose issues like tool wear or drift.
Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and CMM to validate parts to drawings.
Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts to guide production.
Collaborate with CAM programmers to optimize setups and manufacturability.
