Job summary

Phoenix-based careers: The Specialty Alliance seeks a Certified Medical Dosimetrist to design, calculate, and optimize radiation treatment plans in collaboration with oncologists and physicists. The role covers Ethos, TrueBeam, Cyberknife, and TomoTherapy planning with adaptive workflows.

The ideal candidate has CMD certification, JRCERT training, and strong expertise in IMRT/VMAT, QA, and multidisciplinary coordination across an outpatient oncology team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Medical Dosimetry program or equivalent accredited program.
• Current certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) through the MDCB.
• Experience with IMRT and VMAT.
• Strong knowledge of dose-volume histograms and normal tissue constraints.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple patient plans and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary oncology team.

Responsibilities

• Design and generate individualized radiation therapy treatment plans based on physician prescriptions, target volumes, normal tissue constraints, and established clinical protocols.
• Perform treatment planning for a wide range of disease sites using 3D conformal RT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, and adaptive RT techniques.
• Utilize advanced planning systems and technology to create safe, efficient, and clinically optimal treatment plans.
• Review and evaluate treatment plans to ensure target coverage, dose conformity, and tissue constraints.
• Perform dose calculations and plan optimization according to physician directives.
• Participate in physician plan review and modify plans based on clinical feedback.
• Prepare treatment documentation and communicate plan requirements to the treatment delivery team.
