Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET Technical Lead to drive modernization of legacy business applications into cloud-native services on AWS. You will lead design, development, and delivery while collaborating with AWS leads, architects, QA, product owners, and offshore teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

You will mentor distributed teams, optimize data architectures, support CI/CD, and leverage AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years with modern .NET and ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying microservices or distributed applications.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and advanced T-SQL development.
• Hands-on experience migrating business logic from stored procedures into application services.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, and JWT-based security models.
• Experience with EF Core, Dapper, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on AWS experience, including ECS/Fargate, RDS for SQL Server, and messaging/event-driven tech like SQS/SNS/EventBridge.
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks (unit/integration/API).
• Demonstrated leadership in managing and mentoring development teams, including offshore resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of modern .NET services and APIs for cloud-native architectures.
• Drive engineering excellence through sprint planning, code reviews, and coding standards.
• Partner with stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure delivery of customer features.
• Mentor offshore development teams and remove delivery blockers.
• Modernize legacy data architectures by extracting logic from SQL Server procs into scalable services with automated tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure, compliant production releases.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity while maintaining code quality.
