Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Developer to support cloud-hosted application development, enhancement, and deployment. You will modernize existing apps, drive new initiatives, and ensure smooth production deployments in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include API design, Java/Spring Boot backend work, frontend with JSP/Knockout/jQuery, Oracle DB design, data persistence with Eclipse Link JPA, and automation via Shell/PowerShell. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development with REST API design.
• 3+ years with Spring Boot and Java development.
• Experience with Oracle DB and JPA (EclipseLink) and scripting with Shell/PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain cloud-hosted applications.
• Implement and manage REST APIs and backend services with Spring Boot/Java.
• Develop UIs using JSP, Knockout, and jQuery.
• Design, develop, and optimize Oracle DB schemas and queries.
• Use Eclipse Link JPA for data persistence and SVN for version control.
• Handle JWT and YAML based data handling and config management.
• Write automation scripts in Shell and PowerShell.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile ceremonies.
• Explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Occasional travel as needed.
