Job summary

IBM Consulting is hiring an Infrastructure Specialist in System Administration to deliver 24/7 support for cloud-based solutions and infrastructure tools. You will build, configure, and maintain development tools and networking, across Windows, Linux, and Unix servers, ensuring secure, scalable operations.

The role emphasizes Ansible/Terraform, a logging cluster (Logstash/Elasticsearch/Kibana), and API/middleware resilience, with responsibilities spanning DevOps practices and ITIL-aligned

Qualifications

• Experience with developing and configuring infrastructure as code using Ansible and Terraform across Dev, Test, and Production environments.
• Proven ability to ensure system security, install updates, and defend against cybersecurity threats including load balancing and CDN options.
• Experience installing and maintaining a logging cluster with Logstash, Elasticsearch, and Kibana to parse container logs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure infrastructure as code, ensuring deployment and maintenance of cloud apps across Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.
• Maintain a 24/7 cloud operations posture, including security, DevOps workflows, middleware, and infrastructure components.
• Support logging with a centralized cluster (Logstash/Elasticsearch/Kibana) to parse application and container logs.
• Identify and resolve APIs, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, containers, Kubernetes nodes, middleware, network, and security issues; escalate when needed.
• Provide regular service management reports, ensure cloud elasticity and DR/manual failover capabilities.
