Job summary

ITnova is seeking a Cloud Architecture Team Lead to support the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Aviation Data Analytics Warehouse (ADAW). The role focuses on leading cloud data architecture using Azure services (Synapse, Data Factory, SQL, Databricks) while guiding data integration, governance, security, and platform performance.

The candidate will manage budgets, program governance, and cross-functional collaboration, with remote work options and EST hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and data platform development.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with data integration methods including APIs, batch processing, streaming data, and SFTP transfers.
• Knowledge of data warehouse architecture, data ingestion, transformation, storage, and lakehouse design.
• Experience implementing cloud security, IAM, and RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the cloud data architecture and technology strategy for ADAW, setting standards for scalability and performance.
• Design and oversee a scalable, secure cloud-based data warehouse platform.
• Establish standards for ingestion, transformation, storage, and lakehouse design.
• Oversee data integration projects using Agile practices and Azure DevOps.
• Translate business requirements into actionable tasks for the data engineering team and monitor progress.
