Job summary

Washington Health Benefit Exchange in Olympia, WA is seeking a Cloud Application and Solutions Architect to serve as the expert-level technical authority for cloud applications and data solutions. You will partner with enterprise architects, CIO, and business stakeholders to define and implement scalable cloud architectures that support our health insurance exchange platform.

Responsible for leading development teams, conducting design reviews, aligning with IT standards, and guiding DevSecOps

Qualifications

10+ years in IT project development with cloud solutions and architecture.
4+ years planning technical architecture and implementation.
Experience as technical expert and in architecture roles.
Strong communication skills and writing ability.
Experience with enterprise systems and Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and security compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead development initiatives to architect, design, develop, and deliver mission-critical solutions.
Document technical design specifications and workflows.
Plan and coordinate reviews and approvals of technical deliverables.
Write and review designs and deliverables for IT solutions.
Stay current on development best practices and emerging technologies.
Lead security design reviews at agency and state levels.
Coordinate with vendors to align technical solutions with standards.
Oversee application development throughout the lifecycle.
Guide teams on appropriate technologies and tools.
Consult with business and IT units to determine enterprise design.
