Job summary

Sedgwick, a global leader in risk and claims management, is seeking a Claims Advisor to handle complex D&O, EPL, and E&O liability claims. You will investigate, analyze coverage, negotiate settlements, and coordinate defense with legal teams while maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of complex claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Masters or Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Licenses as required.
• Designations and/or licensing such as AIC, CPCU, ARM, AIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex D&O, EPL and E&O liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
• Conducts full investigation and provides reports of investigation for new events and actions.
• Negotiates claim settlements up to designated authority level.
• Calculates and assigns reserves and monitors reserve adequacy.
• Recommends settlement strategies and presents structured proposals as needed.
• Performs coverage analysis and opinion as part of the claim process.
• Coordinates legal defense by assigning attorneys and reviewing invoices.
• Uses cost containment techniques including vendor partnerships to reduce claim cost.
• Identifies fraud, subrogation, recovery opportunities to reduce total cost.
• Represents company in depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Maintains professional client relationships and ensures proper file documentation.
