Ascendion in Southern California is hiring two civil litigation attorneys to handle sophisticated public entity defense work, with a pay model that rewards results and has no rigid billable grind. You will run matters independently, owning them from start to finish, with a base salary in a bonus-heavy framework and strong earning potential.

Ideal candidates have California civil litigation experience, strong writing, and a drive to manage their own caseload.

We want a self-motivated attorney who can run independently and own their matters start to finish.

You've got:

• 2+ years of California civil litigation experience (insurance defense or employment background a strong fit)
• The drive to run your own caseload with minimal oversight
• Strong writing (we'll ask for samples)
• $150K–$190K base + a genuinely bonus-heavy model — productivity bonuses, origination credit, and real reward for bringing in business
• Medical, dental & vision — firm covers a significant share of premiums
• 401(k) with 4% match

Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Location: remote or hybrid — you'll want to be within ~1–2 hours of the Riverside office for occasional in-person depositions.
