Job summary

The Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services, is hiring a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1 in Jesup, GA. Under supervision, you will provide investigative and comprehensive case management for reports of abuse or neglect, developing safety plans and coordinating services.

You will build permanency goals, document activities, collaborate with partners, and participate in after-hours on-call duties. A Bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with investigative and case management concepts desirable.
• Ability to collaborate with families and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Initiates timely, face-to-face responses to reports of alleged abuse or neglect.
• Develops and implements safety plans to address identified concerns.
• Performs diligent search efforts to locate children and families.
• Documents case management activities within policy timeframes.
• Collaborates with partners to create support systems for children and families.
• Maintains permanency goals and coordination of foster care placements as needed.
• Participates in after-hours on-call duty.
