Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Chemistry Expert for a remote contract role. You will deliver authoritative, well-explained responses to advanced chemistry queries to help improve AI models and ensure scientific accuracy in training data.

You will review data, craft comprehensive explanations across organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry, and collaborate with annotation leads and project managers to uphold high quality standards.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Ability to clearly explain complex chemistry concepts in writing and speech.
• Experience creating, reviewing, or publishing chemistry materials.
• Familiarity with multiple chemistry sub-disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and scientific rigor.
• Experience with AI/data annotation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce authoritative, accurate, and well-explained responses to advanced chemistry queries for AI model improvement, emphasizing clarity and depth.
• Review and evaluate chemistry data, questions, and solutions to ensure accuracy and current best-practice alignment.
• Develop explanations and justifications across foundational and specialized chemistry topics.
• Collaborate with annotation leads and project managers to refine requirements and uphold high standards for response quality.
• Create exemplary golden responses that set benchmarks for model outputs and training data consistency.
• Document context and rationale behind answers to aid interpretability and future annotation efforts.
• Participate in remote discussions or workshops to align objectives across the contributor community.
